1. General Information
Skillo Limited is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information about you or associated with you and the company that you represent is collected, used and disclosed by Skillo Limited. We obey the globally acceptable practices in customer privacy and storage of information in order to protect the information you add to the Skillo Platform.
By accessing or using our Services, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to the way we collect, store, use and disclose your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions are available at https://skillo.co.uk/termsAndConditions.
Users can access the Skillo Services through the website www.skillo.co.uk and subdomains, through applications on devices. Devices that can access the websites that are part of the Skillo Platform include desktop computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, or other consumer electronic devices that are capable of accessing the internet, via a web browser.
2. What kind of information will you provide
The Skillo Platform may have multiple Solutions. Currently, there is only one, Skillo Suppliers.
2.1. Skillo Suppliers
When you register an account as a business or as a general user, we may collect and store personal information, such as your full name, work phone number, credit card, or other billing information, email address. We will also collect and store information related to the business that you are representing, such as name, website, trading and billing addresses, email, telephone number. In the case you provide it voluntarily, we can also store information like the Sponsor number, VAT Registration Number, Company Registration number and UTR number of the company that you represent.
Most of the information that we store is operational information that serves the user's purpose of using Skillo Services.
In addition, if you choose to upload an image of your company logo, this will also be stored. When you invite other members of your company to have access to Skillo Suppliers Services in order to be a part of the team that you share the information added on Skillo Limited with, we send them an email invitation. We may also receive Personal Information (for example, your full name and email address) through other users if they have invited you to their Skillo Suppliers Customer Account. We may store information related to invites sent to other companies to join and use Skillo Suppliers. We collect and store any files you upload, or create within Skillo Suppliers. Apart from the analytics information, described at point 2, we only collect information when you voluntarily submit it to us.
3. Analytics information
We may use internal and external analytic and product platforms to better understand usage patterns on our website so that we can improve the design and usability of our products. Some web browsers may transmit "do-not-track" signals to websites with which the browser communicates. Our website does not currently respond to these "do-not-track" signals.
We also use HTTP "cookies" to collect information and improve our Services. A cookie is a small data file that is saved on your device's browser. We may use "persistent cookies" to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to the Services. We may use "session ID cookies" to enable certain features of the Services, to better understand how you interact with the Services and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Services. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all aspects of the Solutions provided on the Skillo Platform.
When a User or Visitor accesses the Skillo Platform, We may record and retain general non-personally identifiable data about such usage of Skillo Services including but not limited to the User's or Visitor's IP address, the locations each visits within Skillo Services, and the amount of time spent on each page of Skillo Services, and the size of the dimensions, (in pixels), of the display of the device that accesses Skillo Services. Skillo Limited uses this Data to determine the demographics of Users or Visitors, to analyse trends and to develop and distribute to third parties aggregate statistics and general information about Skillo Services. Skillo Limited will not disclose information that identifies specific Users or transactions, except for the cases under section 4.2.
4. How we use the information you provide
4.1. Information purpose
The information you provide is used in order to allow you to securely access the Application, to provide you with notifications regarding the data processes that take place in Skillo and to personalise your experience.
In order to implement the process of creating shifts requests in Skillo, we must allow other users to view the candidate full name and address information when creating a shifts request for that candidate. This is done only with the consent of the user that has that candidate record in the set of candidates uploaded to the System by the users in the same company as the acting user. The user is notified when performing such an operation.
4.2. Information disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third parties if we are required to do so by law, requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, or we believe that such action is necessary:
- To comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order;
- To protect the company’s rights and property;
- To investigate reports of users sending material using a false e-mail address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages;
- To protect Skillo Limited against misuse or unauthorised use of our Website and/or the Skillo Services; or
- During emergencies, such as when we believe someone’s physical safety is at risk.
- To any third party with your prior consent to.
4.3. Storing the information
The information is stored entirely on servers owned and powered by Amazon AWS. The physical regional location of the servers powering the Application is entirely within the European Union (Ireland or England).
5. Altering of information
We will not delete or edit your stored information without a direct request from the holder of the data, if we do receive a request by a single person that is not a business owner, we shall direct that single person to the company they belong to, so that the request can be validated and then forwarded to Skillo for action.
6. Security
Skillo has taken strong measures to protect the security of your information against data loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure and destruction.
When you place orders for purchased products or access your payment information, we use an advanced encryption technology known as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which is PCI DSS compliant, to protect the storage and transfer of your data from unauthorised parties. In addition to our online security efforts, we take reasonable steps to protect your personal data offline, as well. All of your information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. 7. Best practices for online activities
Even the best privacy policy can’t protect your online privacy and security in all circumstances. Unscrupulous advertisers, hackers, and scam artists are constantly searching the Internet looking for new targets. Your best protection is to understand the limits to privacy on the Internet and use common sense in all of your online activities.
Be aware that e-mail is an inherently insecure form of communication. Remember that third parties are sometimes able to illegally intercept your unencrypted messages, including online greetings.
We may also display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at team@skillo.co.uk.
8. Data Protection Act
Under the Data Protection Act, you have the right to find out what information the government and other organisations store about you. These include the right to:
- be informed about how your data is being used
- access personal data
- have incorrect data updated
- have data erased
- stop or restrict the processing of your data
- data portability (allowing you to get and reuse your data for different services)
- object to how your data is processed in certain circumstances

We may ask you for additional data to confirm your identity and for security purposes, before disclosing the information requested to you. If you would like to submit a request on behalf of another individual, you may do so by providing proof of authorization by the individual to submit such a request on their behalf. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law.
We may also decline to process requests that jeopardise the privacy of others, are excessive, or would cause us to take any action that is not permissible under applicable laws.
In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
Beware of scams in which persons unknown to you request your screen name, password, or credit card information. Make sure you verify the identity of anyone asking for personal information.
9. Changes to our privacy policy
Skillo Limited may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective at a date clearly written on Skillo Platform website (https://www.skillo.co.uk) and in the new version. Your use of Skillo Platform following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
In the event that Skillo Limited and/or its units or subsidiaries are ever sold, acquired, merged, liquidated, reorganised, or otherwise transferred, we reserve the right to transfer our user databases together with any personal information contained therein, to a third party acquiring Skillo Limited assets. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
